a note on the background art:
this famous hanging canvas is "The Dragon of Smoke escaping from Mt Fuji" by the famous Edo-Period japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾北斎) (1760-1849).

what may be his most notable work, and my personal favourite piece of japanese art, is the "Kanagawa-oki nami-ura" (In the Hollow of a Wave off the Coast at Kanagawa). This is part of a series of Ukiyo-e Woodblock prints aptly named: "Fugaku Sanjū-Rokkei (36 Views of Mount Fuji)". this series depicts Mount Fuji in differing seasons and weather conditions from a variety of different places and distances.
